We are talking about 1400 (in words: one thousand four hundred) meters here. You can also exaggerate fears!
Sit there at night at that distance. It's just very loud and in my opinion only bearable indoors with the windows closed.
Sounds like a plausible approach, but unfortunately it brings no insights for low-frequency sound in infrasound; much more important here are the type and condition of the exterior components (crux: sound insulation values of components are usually only provided down to 125 Hz. But only below that does it become interesting for infrasound/low-frequency sound) as well as the so-called room modes of the respective rooms. Depending on room modes and exterior components, low-frequency and infrasound components can be perceived much more strongly in enclosed rooms (note: not heard!) than outdoors.
@TE: If you have concerns, better leave it be. Less than 1500m - regardless of topography - can (but doesn’t have to) be problematic. If you already show a certain sensitivity to this before purchasing a property – better keep your hands off.
However, this is relevant here. A-weighted TA noise assessment levels are very likely actually irrelevant here.I didn't talk about infrasound either.
Anyone who believes in the harmful effects of infrasound in this magnitude (WKA) probably only goes outside wearing a tin foil hat.
This is relevant here, though. A-weighted TA noise assessment levels are very likely actually irrelevant here.
Only limited talk can be made of harmful effects. The OP is concerned with annoyance, and that can certainly be present. I also held the tin-foil hat opinion for a long time until I spent a few hours in an exposure room. Pleasant and homely is something else.
