The construction site is located approximately 1400 meters next to a wind turbine?!

Then you misjudge the distances as I wrote. It's not just about shadows, and the sun is not only overhead in the sky. It very much depends on the relative position.

If a wind turbine (or a tree ...) is supposed to cast a shadow over 1400 m, then in my opinion that also requires an obstacle-free distance of exactly those 1400 m. So anyone building on the Wadden Sea, and if such a wind turbine stood right in the middle of the Wadden Sea, could experience that ... Otherwise, I doubt the practical relevance ...

In ygps's photo, you can see very well the main "problem" (please do not take literally) of today's builders: neighbors (who are very close). :p

I don't find them that close at all :)

If you stand one meter in front of a wind turbine and your nose, the wind turbine, and the sun form a straight line, then you cannot see the sun that is exactly on the horizon and you are fully in the shadow. Now you slowly step backwards along the imagined line. The wind turbine will appear narrower in your field of vision, while the sun remains constantly large. The shadow becomes narrower and already long before 1400 m you will no longer see the wind turbine because the sun dazzles you so much and a shadow no longer exists.

The fluctuations in brightness are still clearly noticeable. Even though there is no longer a umbra. Even in the moonlight. I would estimate that up to 1 km this is still relevant.
