Well, I just had to save up for it, no shame in that. We also have these frames. At least we have glass....

Since we’ve been living here, we’ve consistently gotten into the habit of cleaning after showering (one minute). I myself do it consistently after showering despite the severe injury/operations. And if you clean the panes, then clean the tiles right after. I tell you: it looks like it was done yesterday here, but it’s been used daily for 2 years. Both bathrooms. The little effort is worth it.

However, if you don’t do that, I think you can totally forget about such cheap shower enclosures after a short time; they get completely soaked and ruined. If you care about something like that, you clean like we do, or you buy more expensive material like you did.

Well, the installation. I was there. Good thing they were professionals.
Actually (this word is dangerous) simple, but if everything is supposed to be straight, clean, and neat, 3 hours go by quickly. And silicone joints haven’t been done yet.

Best regards
Thorsten

PS: If we had children or teenagers in the household who didn’t care about such things, I would have built the bathrooms differently.

Or alternatively, plan a brick-built shower and then simply tile it, of course only if there is enough space available. Then you can completely do without the shower partitions.

You can easily install shower partitions afterwards without any problems. We selected a shower door after signing. For this, we obtained a binding offer from the local sanitary specialist (wholesale) trade for a door + delivery and installation. Then a second offer for the same model, which the developer had offered us. Result: The developer's price was just below the specialist trade (probably 9 out of 10 people would say: Both are ripping us off!). Be that as it may: Shower partitions: A simple matter, get comparative offers, do it later if you consider this better.

Fittings can also be easily replaced later. Appropriate tools are needed (no special tools, ordinary standard wrenches will do) and some hemp or Teflon tape (the latter is easier for laymen to use).

In my opinion, the door handle set only needs to fit the "substructure," otherwise it can also be done later.

Washbasins and toilets can also simply be swapped, but this is somewhat more strenuous, possibly a silicone joint must be made. This is advanced DIY (I mean it seriously, yes, not rocket science, but not for those with two left hands and the Saturday is gone, morning hardware store, afternoon bathroom). Also, then you have the old items and if there is no stag party...

We also build with GU, but I took out the sanitary installation. A friend does that, as well as the heating, for me and I know he won't rip me off. In case of doubt, I would look for a plumber on MyHammer and if things go well, you can even arrange with him that you supply the sanitary objects yourself.

After we nearly gave up on the bathroom sampling and the provided cost estimate, we drastically cut back on the sampling and in the end stuck with the standard with an extra charge for the shower walls; I don’t imagine the installation to be quite that trivial. (it should be watertight and straight)

Regarding shower doors: About 4 years ago, we renovated the bathroom in our old apartment. We wanted to install a straight shower wall with a width of 120cm. The price at the hardware store (not a specialty store) was around 800 euros and up. I then ordered one on Amazon for about 400 euros and installed it myself. Installation and quality were okay.
