This is really unbearable ;) What Elina wrote is NOT true!!! The amount of taxes has NOTHING to do with the tax class! Should we draw it out so it can be understood?!!! The question of married / single did not come up here at all. Of course, that has an influence especially with a large income difference! For us, the wedding brought 12k less taxes per year ;)

edit: Quote "In tax class 3 you simply pay significantly less taxes than in tax class 1." <--- and that is simply rubbish ;)

You pay less taxes in the respective month! But you also get less out at the end of the year! Is that so hard to understand???

You are completely on the wrong track. It is true that the tax classes do not matter when you are married. In the end, you pay the same amount, whether it is 3/5 or 4/4. But Elina wrote something about the difference between married/not married. So the difference between 1+1/4+4, or 1+1/3+5. This is called the splitting advantage, you smarty pants. For people with a significant income difference, getting married is therefore financially worthwhile.

Yes, Elina wrote exactly that. Read it again, then maybe you will understand it too. If necessary, a third time, as many times as it takes. That’s how I practice with my little daughter too.

Nonsense again!!!! I am also married and could save X euros every month if I took 3 instead of 4. But then we would get less back through the tax return at the end of the year! What is so hard to understand?!
