For some people, obviously not... Last try: 1/1 and 4/4 have the same burden during the year, so they get the same net amount. At the end of the year (or after the tax declaration), however, the couple with 4/4 may have paid significantly less taxes because they have the splitting advantage. The couple with 1/1 does not. For the married couple, in the end, it does not matter whether they chose 4/4 or 3/5.

Then just call it by its name and don’t keep starting with the tax declaration classes. Married people can also have tax declaration class 1.
