I just had to recover for a moment: as comfortable as it may be, the price is uncomfortable. We don’t sit at the table often or long enough for it to be worth it to us.Take a look at Freifrau. Very comfortable.

I don’t know if oiling helps. But it’s probably not due to the zippers. I suspect a combination of aging and regular use. In my dining table set, the synthetic leather is also coming off one chair (the one I use regularly) and one spot on the bench (where my girlfriend regularly sits). The interesting thing is that both are almost equally worn, even though one spot was used very little for a few years. It flakes off exactly where the seat gets creases when sitting down.My great Kare chairs are falling apart. Not the frame, not the padding... the synthetic leather is coming apart. It’s all flaking off. Where does that come from? Should I have regularly oiled them? My husband thinks it’s because of the zippers on my pants (at the bottom), since I often lift one leg up...
It's the same with us. I sit in my favorite spot, always the same chair. Three chairs are peeling. The problem is: every second chair for sale is made of this synthetic stuff. I can't afford leather . The interesting thing is that both are worn out almost equally, even though one seat was used very little for a few years. It also peels exactly where the seat gets folds when sitting down
