I just had to recover for a moment: as comfortable as it may be, the price is uncomfortable. We don’t sit at the table often or long enough for it to be worth it to us.

Phew, more than 1000 for a chair. We have wire chairs from home 24 punkt d e. Since that's too hard, we put [Schaffelle] on them, that really makes them comfortable. Then it costs about 140 per set.

I don’t know if oiling helps. But it’s probably not due to the zippers. I suspect a combination of aging and regular use. In my dining table set, the synthetic leather is also coming off one chair (the one I use regularly) and one spot on the bench (where my girlfriend regularly sits). The interesting thing is that both are almost equally worn, even though one spot was used very little for a few years. It flakes off exactly where the seat gets creases when sitting down.

It's the same with us. I sit in my favorite spot, always the same chair. Three chairs are peeling. The problem is: every second chair for sale is made of this synthetic stuff. I can't afford leather

Take a look at KFF or Bert Plantagie, they have, in my opinion, nice cantilever chairs. I always find things like that on Kleinanzeigen. You have to take your time and if you are careful, you will also come across reputable previous owners or often even almost like-new/TOP condition. High-quality furniture is usually well maintained by its owners. We have nice cantilever chairs in leather from BoConcept here, 6 pieces back then for about €1,000. Shipping within DE is no problem nowadays. Ok, you need patience and leisure.......but for that you can get great things.
