Sit it out? In the truest sense of the word... :p
I find that hard - unfortunately, we already did that for half a year

For 6 months the chairs have been peeling and of all days, today they don’t look good anymore :D. Once your attention is on it, you can’t look away anymore. My wife would sew a "temporary cover" and look forward to the postponed joint "hunt".
SHOW US YOUR CHAIRS :D
I think I have to revive this thread.
My great Kare chairs are falling apart. Not the frame, not the padding... the faux leather is coming off. It’s all peeling. Where does that come from? Should I have regularly oiled them? My husband says it’s because of the zippers on my pants (at the bottom), since I often lift one leg up...
Well, whatever: new chairs are needed. Reupholstering myself is not an option due to the shape.
And now everything without trying them out  Well, I already know the dimensions and inclinations that matter. I find cantilever chairs very comfortable. But somehow I can’t decide. I’ve already ended up at the Dutch providers...
Does anyone have experience with the cheap velvet covers? Is velvet just velvet? Or is there cheap velvet that isn’t really velvet, but looks like velvet (velour fabric)? Like how eco-leather is now the new word for faux leather, but apparently there are also differences. Since Corona, I’m not up to date on this sort of thing anymore :(
