Switching to induction - how did it go for you?

I can understand that with ovens etc. They are often next to each other (ideally at the perfect height) or stacked in tall cabinets. But the cooktop ... you can only tell by getting close and looking for the label print.

Rationally, that's how it is and I know that, but no idea, I have such a quirk..

It's like with clothespins.. I never hang up a piece of laundry with different colors.

But I also like my Siemens appliances and touch controls, so all good!

I agree: visible appearance should be consistent, hidden technology doesn't need to look fancy.

Induction is great! If you are not familiar with it at all, you should be careful at first. When I moved into my wife's apartment 10 years ago, I only knew my bachelor two-hotplate(!) electric stove. I wanted to cook something and, as usual, turned the stove to full power and went to the bathroom. We then had to throw away the good WMF stainless steel wok. The contents were inseparably connected to the wok forever... However, by now I can't imagine anything else.

You should definitely check this quirk regarding the devices ;) ... Especially with devices, there are certain brands that actually only promise good quality for certain types of devices. Examples - Liebherr for refrigerators, Gaggenau for special built-in versions - Miele for dishwashers - Berbel, Novy and for the downdraft fan fans Bora for extractor hoods - Miele, Gagggenau for steam cookers/steam ovens/ovens, but certainly also in second place BSH, AEG - Miele, BSH devices for pure cooktops

No, that is not a quirk, but a very personal priority. Whoever convinces themselves that they assemble a kitchen completely rationally probably has a real quirk. It is good if you openly give your emotion space for decision-making. It directly serves the feeling of life.
