Now we all calm down again and return to the subject.

This is not about weapons possession and use but about surveillance cameras.

Which, if one is completely honest, are rather there to conveniently check from one place (also gladly in absence) what is happening or has happened around and inside the house.

It only depends on the ammunition and the caliber :p a hit anywhere will do. I also think nothing of our gun laws and overregulation/bans (in all areas). Nevertheless, a weapon will rarely solve a burglary situation. Who would store a loaded weapon in the nightstand with children etc. The only deterrent would be if a few crooks had to die. But not even the police are allowed that. Also, ammunition that is not really man-stopping...

How likely is a break-in?
While you are at home?
And not, for example, surprised while sleeping?
And still having enough time to run to the gun cabinet?
All of this in a stressful and fearful situation?

I recall the prominent example of Oscar Pistorius. He claimed to have mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder. Unfortunately, he only received the standard minimum sentence of 15 years imprisonment for the murder.

It wasn't Germany, but the sentence for this offender should have been harsher.

Hello Tassimat

Not particularly high, I guess.
But why am I increasingly being deprived of the means to defend myself?
And politicians are once again issuing themselves a free pass for gun ownership. Only for their clique.
I have owned guns for 40 years, provided personal protection for politicians (of course with a gun), served Germany (with a gun), and now piece by piece they are taking away my ability to defend myself in a self-defense situation (break-in at home). Not because I couldn’t, and not because they don’t trust me. The only logical explanation: perpetrator protection!

You are also worthy of protection, and the state also protects you from becoming an offender.
