Hello community,

my wife and I are currently in the process of building a house. It is a turnkey single-family house through a developer contract. We just had our meeting with the electrician and explained our special requests. The special requests mainly consist of:
- A larger meter cabinet
- Network cables
- Cross switches as well as changeover switches
- LED touch dimmers
- Additional light points

In the end, there is a price that just blows me away. Overall, we come to an additional cost of about 12k€. Are the prices for the following works realistic?

    [*]Laying network cables (2xRJ45 duplex Cat7) - each 226.3€
[*]Additional "light point" - each 29.75€
[*]Extension of the meter cabinet with a distribution field including SLS switch - 659.45€ (I can get one online and the other is not even charged)
    [*]Surface-mounted patch panel 12xRJ45 - 226.1€
[*]Cross switch with light point each 146.8€
    [*]Sat system (6 participants) 1,538.4€

Would you still install telephone sockets in a new house or run everything via the network cable?

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Is it a multi-family house because of the 6 participants? Is there even an alternative? Hardly.

6 SAT connections in a single-family house are nothing special anymore... We have 12!

Prices with tax?

Yes, it is expensive, typical additional charge via the developer.
But you only see materials and not labor, for example, with SLS it is irrelevant what it supposedly costs online.

This is the business model of many general construction companies: to push the trades down so much that initially an apparently favorable total price comes out for the client, with almost no profit or even none for the trade itself. At the same time, the standard is set so low that the client basically has to upgrade. The actual profit for the trade is then made through these overpriced offers.

That is why the descriptions of construction services are also checked for completeness. If one knows that the standard will not be sufficient anyway, one gets the extra prices BEFORE signing or negotiates the prices for them beforehand. After signing, it's "take it or leave it." Or one prefers the higher-priced general contractor because the chances are better that his trades are fundamentally better paid and therefore do not have to demand extreme surcharges.

is expensive but accurate.

you can do sat yourself, alternative is streaming via e.g. waipu, which also doesn't cost much more than HD via SAT.

you can also do the patch panel wiring yourself, just put a small server cabinet on the wall, the switch needs a home too.

and whether any cross-change circuits are needed, you have to know.

with us, the electric shutters cost extra, and the switches cost extra again.
