Either KNX or Loxone... Those are different systems. Although you can also integrate KNX into Loxone, which is a bit complicated.
Smart home already has some advantages for me as a tech enthusiast
- Automatic shading
- Automatic light dimming (depending on time or sunlight)
- Alarm system is integrated
- Automatic switching of lights when you are on vacation
- Good night function / away-from-home function (switching off desired consumers)
And,... if you do it cleverly, significantly less wiring effort.
Switches can be connected as a tree (simply branched) with a Cat7 cable. No need to lay light switch cables in 3x1.5 or 7x1.5 if you want to do a cross switch and still have to add power.
