What is the current status of the floor plan? I actually find the first floor plan from the beginning very good... of course, it resembles many well-known floor plans, but also ours, which has already been much discussed... just as a suggestion, I’m posting it here again...

... which I find hardly comparable here due to the different "task" (for example, the desire for a rectangular floor area and perfectly cooked with 100 sqm does not exist here). Basically, it is not a disadvantage for a floor plan if it resembles many others. Four people, two adults and two children; at night you prefer the toilet nearby and during the day rather the kitchen; similarities are not accidental.

To bring you up to date here,...

As mentioned before, we found an architect through an acquaintance who simply drew floor plans for us for support,... He and our acquaintance are apparently good friends...

And now the building will also be done through the architect. The latest floor plans have been created and the building application has been submitted
Electrical planning is currently in progress... I’m just not sure yet whether Loxone or KNX.
I could program Loxone myself, although we don’t really like the switches
and a mixture isn’t that easy...

Many thanks for your active support!!!!!

Show me the new floor plans!

What do you want to use KNX for? I am also about to build a house and haven't looked into it at all, are there good application possibilities?

Here are the floor plans... (are also on our blog)

Either KNX or Loxone... Those are different systems. Although you can also integrate KNX into Loxone, which is a bit complicated.

Smart home already has some advantages for me as a tech enthusiast
- Automatic shading
- Automatic light dimming (depending on time or sunlight)
- Alarm system is integrated
- Automatic switching of lights when you are on vacation
- Good night function / away-from-home function (switching off desired consumers)
And,... if you do it cleverly, significantly less wiring effort.
Switches can be connected as a tree (simply branched) with a Cat7 cable. No need to lay light switch cables in 3x1.5 or 7x1.5 if you want to do a cross switch and still have to add power.

The rest gladly via PM
