Well, actually you’re not that free – after all, the pipes have to run somewhere... and we don’t know the house. Is it OG or EG? And where is the window? What about the other rooms (because of your suggestion with the wall cabinet)? Which one is the exterior wall? The bigger you make a preliminary plan, the more inaccurate it becomes in your case, because you draw walls as thin sheets and also leave out neighboring rooms. Small drafts are enough for sketches, for detailed drawings you should go to a larger scale. Personally, I’m missing a grid – I can’t read your handwriting either, even though I’m sitting in front of a screen. I wouldn’t necessarily put a bathtub by the door now, but rather create a room within the room for that. Such a large space is of course suitable for an L- or T-wall to structure it.

It is a basement room without windows. The exterior walls are on the left and top, the children's room is at the bottom. The door could be moved further to the right, which also has the advantage that the children's room becomes slightly larger.

Thank you very much. I have briefly sketched two ideas - maybe it will be an inspiration for you.

In any case, I would provide indirect lighting over an area so that the basement bathroom does not get a basement atmosphere. Light from wall to wall, for example, possibly behind a frosted glass panel, which gets something of window light. You have to zone the bathroom and divide it into functional areas: here wellness tub, there washbasin... Well, here are two examples

Here you can plan half-high cabinets on the left side of the plan, with lights in a row above; the tub should move a bit to the right side of the plan, directly opposite the washbasins. Shelves on the left and right of the tub.

Here is an example with a sauna

Definitely don’t forget to plan lighting - not overhead light, but daylight lamps at eye level

There would be many possibilities. But as already mentioned, since the bathroom is in the basement, a lot of light is naturally very important.

Thank you for the ideas! I really like the idea of the daylight lamps and the glass elements above the sink! One sink is enough for us since we want a large natural stone basin. What I miss is the small dressing area, since my husband and I get up at different times, we always change in the bathroom, so I would find a corner with hooks and laundry baskets very practical!

Hello,

for a bathroom in the basement without windows, you should also pay special attention to ventilation.

Otherwise, problems with moisture and/or mold are almost inevitable.

Best regards,

Dirk
