this note is also helpful for me, thank you! But how do the other builders do it who install the floor themselves? Until now we thought that with a "click" floor you can save a lot of money if you do it yourself?! That is the all-purpose weapon "Eigenleistung"...

We have about 80m2 of vinyl. The material costs are already around 2,500EUR. What would a professional worker charge for that?

That is not the question, nor can it be! For example, if I have the material for a garden pond lying in the garage, I have to think beforehand whether I am capable of carrying out the work. The position "floor covering work" also includes subfloor preparation. Most people forget that. And then this leads to disappointment regarding the initially assumed cost savings! Regards: KlaRa

Don't let yourself get crazy, everything that clicks is really no problem to install, even for laymen. Especially in new buildings with a very smooth screed.

Everyone wants to secure their own turf, and it always also depends on one's own standards.

The foil for impact sound insulation I referenced (Planeo Trittschalldämmung Silence 10m²) has on the manufacturer's website "Dimensions: Thickness 1.5mm"...

Despite it being a new build, you should expect that the floor needs to be prepared with leveling compound. It won't be the case that you get a perfect screed floor from the developer that you can lay a floor on directly. So you also have to get the material for the filler compound as well as rent tools (e.g., sanding machine).

I agree with you, one shouldn't let themselves get crazy in the forum. Get advice ( ) at a specialist retailer, watch a few videos about it and look at your new build, then you can better assess it. I personally will do it myself, just have to think about the best way to lay the entire level with leveling compound. But for us, it is still 1 year away...

Is that really so? Or put differently, do you need the perfect screed if you are working with impact sound insulation? So, my Schieva does this more often or is more often in new buildings. He says you don't need that nowadays anymore, or he would criticize a new screed on which you cannot immediately click-lay without leveling compound.
