Hello everyone,
In our new building, in the supposedly future children's bathroom, I still need to install a drywall partition over the entire room height as a casing for the installed pipes and lines.
Unfortunately, the screed could not be poured over the entire width up to the wall because of the pipes laid, but ends about 10-15 cm before the wall. If I had to anchor the floor profile with dowels, I would have to keep another 8 cm away from the wall (2 * dowel length of 4 cm) so that the screed does not break. Therefore, the idea was to glue the floor profile instead of doweling it. For this, a proper construction adhesive.
Now to my question: Should one still stick a sealing tape on the underside of the profile and then the construction adhesive underneath, or would that not hold properly? Or should I completely do without the sealing tape in this case?
Thanks in advance for your answers
