Thanks in advance for your answers. I am a bit surprised by the statement of 300-330k for the house. There is a large company for prefab houses around the corner from us. They build 160sqm turnkey houses in 3 months for that price. So far, we have also calculated with 2 or 3 construction companies and did not come to that amount. Of course, a garage is not included, and we initially didn't plan much for the outdoor facilities either. That can also be done gradually. Some work will be done privately as well. If we possibly start building at the beginning of 2020, shouldn’t we still be able to submit an application for [Baukindergeld] in time?

Read through a few threads here. You won't get by with 250K, even if some providers suggest otherwise. There are still additional construction incidental costs + [Aufmusterung] etc. to be added.

Just ask 1-2 people who have actually built with them what they really ended up paying overall. These are house sellers, not personal building consultants. You have to live in the house to submit the application; if you really manage that, then you can submit the application.

If I understood correctly, the building application must be completed by 31.12.2020. You must have moved in by 31.12.2023 and of course there must still be funds available.
