Hello,
the carpenter of our stairs is making a groove on the back of the stringer where we can lay a cable. Every 4th stair step, the stringer will then have a hole for an LED recessed spotlight. The plan is to have a cable come out of the wall behind the stringer, which is then fed into the groove. That's the theory.
Here are a few questions:
- Can I lay high voltage in the groove of the stringer, or is that not allowed?
- When the carpenter makes his holes for the recessed spotlights, I think he will do this on the construction site and will basically make a hole for an empty box in the stringer and then in the wall (I have a prefabricated house). Here I could then attach the lamp holder. Is this allowed with high voltage?
