The car is a new vehicle, now 2 years old, list price 60k and currently leased at corporate customer rates until 10/23. Residual value expected to be 36k. My other car is 12 years old (originally 50k). Every 10 years the older one turns 20 and is replaced. I will not deviate from that, the child must behave in the car. No eating in the car. A protective cover on the backrest of the rear seat is of course mandatory.

You will still be surprised how the children's shoes regularly look and where all they put their feet when they sit in the car. The worst, however, is the entry area, which is hardly protectable.

This is how it looks for me: I really don't like going to the swimming pool with four kids. When I take care of the 2-year-old and my wife looks after the baby, who is supposed to effectively teach the 6-year-old child to swim? I also have to keep an eye on the oldest in between. During the week after work, I have at least one more child in tow, so it's easier to drop the child off at the course and entertain the little ones elsewhere or go shopping with them. With the first two children, it was of course different, we were with them more often. Or when you think you gave a drip-free drinking bottle to the back, which is then shaken so hard that the canopy gets dirty.

But but, the child will behave … ;-) Well whatever, everyone has to have certain experiences themselves.

We have about the same income as you, but only one child and daycare currently costs us 18€ per month or actually nothing because my wife’s employer pays for it. In nursery it was 145€, which he also covered entirely. Swimming courses, music school, and kids’ gymnastics cost us less than 100€ together. Our repayment is 1200€ per month; we have no other loans since my wife always drives an older used car and I have had a company car for 15 years. That already results in a considerable gap compared to you, despite identical income.
