I paid 4200 EUR for my SSK4 door including installation. Of course, a special frame belongs to an SSK4 door as well. I installed this one in the office. With children, you have to be careful... due to the high weight, it is naturally a hazard.

I do not have a different sense of space at SSK2 and have not heard that from anyone either. Why should it be different at SSK1?

Sorry, but when I read something like that I could puke. If something like that bothers you, maybe you should have thought about it beforehand and put a condom on...

strong statement. The desire to have children can also be combined with a need for quiet (as with Steffen80). And that is what his statement referred to. Not that he actually doesn't want anything to do with children. That would be a different matter. Many people require absolute silence while working. It is also unprofessional if children can constantly be heard in the background during business calls. Is it overkill for Steffen80? Probably yes. But better that than having soundproofing not at the desired level. Having is better than needing. I think it is planned with foresight. The children probably also appreciate having a quiet zone and not having to hear the TV sound from the living room, etc.

You are completely disturbed. I would like to have 3 more children... Unlike my childhood (in the apartment block where you could overhear a normal conversation throughout the entire flat), I want to enable my children to also listen to music a bit louder without a child in the next room being disturbed while doing homework. That is a "luxury" I want to offer my children, just like each having their own dressing room and children's bathroom. So... exactly the opposite of "not thinking beforehand"... maybe you should have done that before your post!

I also had an SK2 door in the office before... I threw it out after 4 weeks.. SK4 in this case is not overkill, but absolutely necessary with small children. I talk a lot on the phone and exactly then no background noises are needed.
