seat88's statement is to be understood in the sense that one can also teach one's children mutual consideration and quiet times. When working from home, one usually works while the children are in daycare/school during the day, so noise pollution should actually be excluded.
Everything is subjective, but at the end of the day, soundproof doors in private residential construction (in my opinion) are rather the exception than the rule, so it seems to work without them. As said, it can't hurt if a child learns early on that their personal freedom ends where it restricts the freedom of another. So, for example, child 1 playing loud music vs. child 2 doing homework. Yes, of course, they learn that later too, at the latest when they move out of the house and the noise-plagued flatmate kicks down the undamped room door...
