But there are. If you especially want to place value on that, you naturally have to inform yourself accordingly.

Of course it is possible, although depending on the region it can certainly become more difficult. That’s why often and not never [emoji6]

It's always the question of how you want to define ecological building and to what extent you can actually oversee the supply chain.
365mm aerated concrete requires roughly the same amount of primary energy for production as 175mm sand-lime brick with 160mm EPS on top. By the way, with mineral wool, the ETICS wall construction is significantly worse than with EPS in terms of primary energy. So is EPS then more ecological)? ;-)

I believe that those who want to build eco-friendly say eco, but actually mean healthy. The resident of the new building wants to do everything to avoid inhaling pollutants. This is just as possible with a stone house as with wood. (Instead of PVC or vinyl floors, then preferably tiles or linoleum) Then there is a faction that thinks eco means wasting as little energy as possible, ideally zero CO2 emissions for the atmosphere. These are the KfW junkies. Do they fully consider how much energy is used for all the foils, tapes, insulation mats, pump housings, etc.?

"Eco" as mentioned above by costs quite a bit of money. This is usually done in the passive house sector and ... has it planned by an architect who is knowledgeable in this area.

Everything else is a big compromise and an admission to oneself that one does not have the money for consistent ecological building.
I personally tend towards more healthy building when using solid construction.

Ecological is also when the house lasts a long time. And from my experience with timber houses, I assert that a solid construction, monolithic or with facing brickwork, is simply more durable.
