A single-family house is just as ecological as an SUV with a hybrid engine.

The most land-use economical is the classic two-family house (stacked apartments, not a semi-detached house) – but suitable plots of land are significantly rarer for this. They are hardly ever deliberately created during new parceling because the market wants to follow the aspiring homeowner’s dream of the detached house.
