Smarthome - General question of meaning

For office buildings, no one here has questioned the benefit. Otherwise, I am also with Hampshire:

I hardly know of any halfway up-to-date office (even smaller ones!) that operates without automated lighting and shading.

I have to tell my bosses that. But the aerospace industry is still very cautious with innovations. Due to the now emerging home office, we will probably skip this development cycle altogether.

Twenty years ago, automation was not feasible in our office building, but a BUS system was installed nonetheless. It really helps during renovations since other office setups can be easily reprogrammed. Automatic dimming of the lights is no longer anything special today. Things like Tunable White, however, are not yet widespread. The valves of the cooling ceiling, for example, also run through the BUS system.
