Twenty years ago, automation was not feasible in our office building, but a BUS system was installed nonetheless. It really helps during renovations since other office setups can be easily reprogrammed. Automatic dimming of the lights is no longer anything special today. Things like Tunable White, however, are not yet widespread. The valves of the cooling ceiling, for example, also run through the BUS system.
