Loxone also has the Relay Extension with 14 16A outputs. But the thing about consumption is correct. We are doing a combination of Loxone and KNX, because then the wiring of large switch clusters (triple or quadruple) can be realized more cheaply and there are even more functions (status LEDs and temperature sensors are included right away).

Well, Loxone and future-proof is a contradiction in itself... a single manufacturer, proprietary system... that's a good solution for now and today, but how it will look tomorrow you probably can't say, but rather bleak...

Philips hue is a nice gimmick... but nothing more and RWE simply a disaster

However, Loxone can be replaced very quickly by KNX, if this is taken into account.

Yes, but then you might as well use KNX... why take the detour via Loxone?

Of course you can, however:
    [*
the costs are significantly higher, because you [LIST] [*]need corresponding bus couplers for the switches or alternatives (which makes a switch cost from €120 upwards) [*]need a visualization for several thousand €, which is included with Loxone right away [*]as a self-programmer need the ETS license for €1000, otherwise it’s no fun with so many objects,
[*]the familiarization with the software is considerably more complex, LoxoneConfig is quite intuitive and especially fast, [*]you need significantly fewer components, the Loxone Server directly includes a KNX gateway and thus also the visualization, I only need a KNX power supply, the cables, and the switches
Sure, the whole thing is proprietary and a single device that can fail. But for that, in the long run, you have a second MiniServer in the cabinet. And if the company should no longer exist, you gradually upgrade everything to KNX, because there is the bus connection for that.

The only real argument is the license...

That the buttons cost a lot of money and a visualization too is an old wives' tale... and the visualization is not necessary either... that is a misconception, everything works wonderfully without it... even the ETS itself is no problem for anyone who can operate Windows, the software is super easy and actually practical for DAUs

Well, never mind, this is getting out of hand again...
