Hello Neige, thank you, now I know what you meant. However, the only wall cabinet would be eliminated if the cooktop were moved there. I see the gain in space and also the exchange of sink and dishwasher.

Hello Yvonne, the dimensions refer to the finished room, so with interior plaster at least 3.00 m remain on the wall facing the office. The sill height is 140 cm from the top edge of the finished floor. The width of the window is 175 cm. If modern means completely dispensing with wall cabinets, then not quite. One is planned, 100 cm wide, with a two-part front that folds upward. Disregarding handles would basically be an option, as that is also considered modern. Hinged doors are not desired, except under the sink. Otherwise, everywhere drawers and preferably wide ones. What do you mean by slants? The cooktop arranged at 45 degrees? The cooktop could definitely be wider than the “normal” 60 cm; with touch control (presumably standard by now); the dishwasher should be quiet and A++++++ rated. :) We currently don’t have one and have decided not to wash dishes by hand in the house anymore. :D The oven should also have a retractable door and a cleaning program.

Looking forward to your drawing!

Many greetings to everyone!

I do hope you still wash by hand more often. Otherwise, you’ll quickly stop enjoying good knives and pans, as they absolutely have no place in the dishwasher ;)

But I would also deviate from the corner hob, especially if it is 70 or 80 cm, that could become problematic.
What is supposed to fit in that wall cabinet?

We also have these wall cabinets and keep our cups, mugs, and all glasses in them.

I asked because he also mentioned using the back side in the initial post, where you can place not only drawers but also display cabinets.

I understand :) Bending down repeatedly and going around the island is really not ideal now

Since the room is not exactly spacious and two doors plus a large window plus an oversized refrigerator take up space, it’s now a case of "take it or leave it." One should have started planning much earlier. This is not your first time in this forum anyway ;)

To be honest, I’m not satisfied with my start. Siggi ( ) has already optimized it, of course I’m now trying to do fine-tuning with 3D, where all kitchen topics have space.

Of course, it’s not ideal. But as you write, the kitchen is not that huge, and a corner cooktop is not really great either.
