I have found this problem several times already when searching with a search engine, but it is a few centimeters different for me...

I have the specification that the minimum ceiling height for installation must be 244cm. Why do so many say it is 240cm? "My" Pax is only 236cm high.
In any case, my room ceiling is 242 cm high. The saleswoman said that would not be a problem, you just have to assemble the wardrobe lying down, hang the sliding doors while lying down, and then stand it up. Well, I bought everything...
And at home I take a closer look and realize that precisely that does not work because the wardrobe then does not fit diagonally into my room.
How much clearance at the top is actually needed to hang the doors when installing it upright?
It annoys me that she told me such nonsense. She also said that if my room ceiling is less than 244cm, and you had to assemble it lying down, the Ikea assembly service would not do it. (Otherwise I would have hired them, I currently have a job running on MyHammer. Hope that we find someone on MyHammer. The wardrobe will be delivered on January 3rd)

It is only possible standing up, up to a ceiling height of 244 cm. Above that (note that a cabinet measured diagonally, i.e., from front bottom to back top, has a different length than simply from bottom to top).

Lying down is not possible, either the employee expressed themselves incorrectly or confused something. The installers only assemble a cabinet according to the instructions. So, I believe the installers only install the sliding doors starting from a minimum ceiling height of 240 cm, as only this variant is listed in the instructions. Sliding the doors in from the side was not intended. Nobody knows why, but IKEA certainly had a reason for this. Since the installers are liable for incorrect assembly and installation, they follow the instructions. Therefore, a minimum ceiling clearance is a prerequisite.

So:
Under 238 cm(?): No sliding doors
From 238 cm (?) to 240 cm: Assemble standing and slide doors in from the side.
From 240 cm to 244 cm: Assemble standing and hang the doors.
Over 244 cm: Assemble lying down and hang the doors.

Regarding the 238 cm, I ask for corrections from people who have already tried this measurement. Should it also work at 236 cm or only at a minimum of 239 cm? Then I will adjust these measurements accordingly.

I was desperate at the Ikea hotline today, so I spontaneously drove there again. The lady definitely mixed something up because she explained it to me completely wrong. But today I got a different salesperson and he also told me about sliding the doors sideways.

Is there maybe an instruction manual for that somewhere?

I asked him again about the ceiling height, but he said it has to be 244 cm in order to do it according to the instructions.

I have another question: When the wardrobe is delivered, is all the material (e.g. screws) already included?

Many thanks for the answer and the help.

By the way, 50 cm wide cabinet parts can also be mounted lying down at slightly less than 244 cm and then set upright by tilting them over the side panel. It is also no problem to calculate the necessary ceiling height, as practically everyone has learned the Pythagorean theorem.

Thank you, I have also already applied the Pythagorean theorem, but I have 1 meter wide Corpora.
