Hello,

we have a niche in the entrance area between the staircase and the guest WC.

We want to install a sliding door (marked in red on the floor plan) there so that we get a small storage room that is not immediately visible.

For possibly coats, shoes, vacuum cleaner, or other things.

Does anyone of you have an idea where I can get a sliding door that fits in there?

Width of the niche approx. 1.10m and height (ceiling height) approx. 2.50m.

I have already tried to find a door, but I am probably not searching for the right terms.

Can you help us where we can get a sliding door in white?
or would you have a better idea for what to do with the space?

We cannot close off the back wall because the heating circuit distributor is there.

I would not look at door construction, but at furniture construction, online shop of a Swedish furniture company e.g., alternatively built-in closet manufacturers

Well, the sliding door would have to slide over the WC door when opened. Then, the frame of the WC door would have to be taken into account.

I would find a vertical blinds curtain or something like that more practical there. There are stylish ones available. And when it is opened, the WC can also be used.

Does the Swedish furniture store also do custom-made pieces? I don’t think we will get that as a standard size Sorry, I forgot to mention. We were thinking of a 2-part door. So for example, the left half fixed and the rest movable or 1/3 fixed and 2/3 movable depending on how much space is left for the WC. The sliding door definitely should not block the WC A curtain is out of the question because a curtain is too sensitive to drafts and that can happen quickly in the entrance area

The carpenter would be my first point of contact to make it look good. And 2 doors that run one behind the other, the fixed part cluttered or remains unused

is probably the most expensive solution.

I had hoped that you could order this custom-made from an online shop.

I can't think of the right term for the search.

Friends of ours bought a house and they solved it that way too, and we didn't think it was bad at all.

Unfortunately, there is no contact with the previous owner anymore to ask where he got the door from.
