Walls do not breathe. I find the last sentence completely unrealistic, as never enough moisture will diffuse from the inside to the outside to become condensate there.

Has such mold already been proven in the wild? An internet source is sufficient, links if necessary by PM (the forum requires it that way) ;-).

He didn’t write anything about breathing. However, moisture transport (capillary action) through the inner wall definitely exists. Cavity masonry with core insulation has a dew point on the inner side of the outer shell, where the condensate described by Tobias forms.

: THANK YOU! It’s always the same people who keep harping on this fact. And I’m not going to provide any links from the web here that address the issue of mold and ETICS. There is plenty of material on that, and to be honest, I prefer evidence from everyday life (experiences of people who work with this stuff). Most people in the industry would never be honest with the end customer, because an incredible amount of money can be made from it! I warmly welcome honest craftsmen with a "conscience"!

WDVS panels are either glued/fastened to the facade using the bead-and-spot method or fully glued over the entire surface. If sloppy and botched, it can lead to backflow and condensation, and then mold. If your master painter adhered to the generally recognized technical rules (aRdT), no damage would occur. But nice that you present a building botcher as an expert......

Of course, construction defects can occur with improper processing... But that doesn't only apply to [wdvs systems].... It applies to almost everything... If you google construction defects in [zweischaliges Mauerwerk], you'll find a wide range as well... Does that mean it's bad? No, definitely not, only with incorrect execution...

And that you find many links on the internet... Oh man, that reminds me of our good chancellor..."the internet is new territory for all of us...". You can find construction defects for any conceivable system on the internet...

I agree with you that [zweischaliges] is the highest quality, but that you would notice something about the indoor climate or that other construction methods generally have defects... That's just nonsense...
