Doesn't anyone need floor space for shelves and cabinets anymore? When I look into the children's room, I see a desk, a wardrobe, and a large shelf with books, and another large cabinet with games, plus a shelf with boxes for Lego etc,... I also have books and cabinets for craft supplies, small electronics, records, etc. In the bedroom, bed linen, towels, ... With so many windows, I see little storage space for things you don't want to keep in the basement or attic. I don't like the floor plan at all either.

and in terms of price, I see it with the many expensive wishes rather at > 700,000. We had been quoted about 35% additional costs for our roof truss as a premium for an exposed roof truss. Possibly even more, depending on the requirement for the visual wood quality.

That can be done significantly better and more effectively without losing generosity.

Guest WC in the basement? The pantry has already been mentioned.

I wouldn’t know where the architectural style belongs.

Could you please upload the site plan?

You always need the space you have. The more cabinets and shelves, the more stuff that you consider irreplaceable. When we moved, we didn’t take about 70% of our possessions with us, and nothing is missing. We live here by the motto "less is more" without being minimalists. We manage to keep better order (which was a great challenge for 28 years) and feel more comfortable.
This also applies to children’s rooms: the more storage space, the more junk gets stored. Focusing on truly favorite things and favorite activities is, in my opinion, much more valuable than an eclectic collection of solitary items given by various relatives, which already overwhelms you with choice and eats up space for imagination.
On 12 rectangular square meters, you can fit everything that is good. For teenagers who like to have friends over in their rooms, it is admittedly tight but certainly not a cruel fate. Since the overall room size is balanced and the children don’t get fewer square meters than the parents’ spa area, I find this completely OK.

I do think that storage space is needed. I'm not a Montessori-eco-helicopter mom, but the way children's rooms are designed according to Montessori and how the toys and books are "arranged" requires space. Not money. Books facing forward, puzzles not stacked, everything at children's height. In an 8-cube Kallax, 8 games/puzzles/boxes with Lego fit, and on top 8-10 books. Normally it's 2, max 3 compartments. It's definitely a difference whether an 8-cube Kallax is lying down or a 3-cube standing up. The craft stuff and the dreadful sticker coloring books. Why does everyone lug these books around? Next year in August, a big box will probably go to kindergarten.

Well, some apartments and houses have as much personality as a hotel room. We also have quite a bit of art – and a painting simply needs a wall. I’m also quite glad to have windowsills to keep the occasional potted plant. Even as a minimalist.
