Hello, good evening!

We are planning a single-family house and have progressed with the plans to the extent that now only 'moderate' questions trouble us!
Our framework conditions were single-storey construction and a gable roof, as well as a maximum footprint of 120 sqm.
The house will be built using solid wood construction.

Now to my question:

Below, on our model house, the south and west sides can be seen. The pointed gable faces south and allows a view of the landscape.
Now there have been voices (also from our builder) that the window areas in the southwest corner of the ground floor seem to contradict the natural feeling of stability.
It is suggested to rather add a visible masonry section (glass-free) at the southwest corner as well.
To clarify again, it is only about the 'stable feeling' and not the statics.
What do you think??
..and of course also about the 'rest'!

If the structural engineering is clarified, it's probably only about taste. No one can take that away from you.

I find it nice towards the south; it looks very open. I would rather be disturbed by some other windows there.

Who made such a model for you?

Looks a bit bulky, somehow the doubters are right ;)

Good morning!

Why, is the model not successful?!
Seriously, I put this together so that one also has something three-dimensional from the drafts. Professionals of course do it better!

Which window is still bothering you?

Yvonne, you surely mean the top three windows on the south side, regarding them being bulky.
I feel the same way. I need to work on that again!

Looking forward to any hints!

I’m also attaching the floor plans for the ground floor and upper floor again so that the window assignments can be recognized.

Best regards

No, I also mean below. The windows do not fit, I think. By the way, the dimensions of the windows in the plan and the model do not match!

Before floor-to-ceiling corner windows are also installed at the other corner of the house, you should consider your kitchen planning ;)

EDIT: Generally, I find many windows, including floor-to-ceiling ones, beautiful, but I would especially reconsider those where desks are planned anyway.
