Build it as it is optimal now and not for maybe, possibly.

Yes, cook and bake and it also heats our living space. It's just a matter of taste.

Yes, building too much for the future is certainly not wise, you are right about that. However, I would like to keep the stairwell at the edge. I somehow like it better, I can't really say why. Maybe because I've been used to it since I was little. I will try to make the living room a bit wider and possibly reduce the pantry a bit....
Upstairs I will move the master bedroom to the north, cancel the storage room, and plan two larger rooms to the south. That also eliminates the slanted entrance and shortens the hallway... What do you think?

That sounds contradictory to me (?)

That sounds like an interesting alternative.

I find the staircase and the fact that it projects a little forward to be fine, as well as its location. It looks to me as if the architect understands houses that are not ugly but affordable. 's architect, by the way, also does—take a look at his house.

Sorry, I phrased that poorly. We still have a large piece of garden in the West, but we are no longer allowed to build further to the West

My grandma only cooked and baked with her wood stove. It’s not as easy as with an electric stove and it gets very warm. I can imagine that even in winter, when you use it for cooking, it almost gets too warm. At least it was always very cozy in my grandma’s old half-timbered house.

I prefer open fire and my smoker.

Your suggestion for the [OG] sounds good.
In the [EG] I would eliminate the mini pantry. You do have a basement. Just draw in your furniture. Swapping kitchen with living will not work with the stove. It needs space.

Solid fuel stove in the new building. Hmm. I find the type of cooking appealing but I also think the house will get unbearably overheated. Can't you move this passion to an outdoor kitchen?
