Since it was asked a few times - here is an attempt to show the location of the house on the property (north is at the top)... the property is approximately 17m x 40m - of which the eastern 10m is a nature reserve...

Sorry if some things seem a bit confusing - I believe it is difficult to explain all thoughts and details in advance in a way that creates a coherent picture - and when some ideas and motivations for details are only learned afterward, it may give the impression of being "arbitrary"...

Nevertheless, I find the discussion very helpful and it has already made us aware of some issues in the plan and also generated ideas on how to improve certain things Many thanks for that

Best regards,
Björn

Here is a suggestion with technology on the upper floor, whereby the electrical system has been excluded and planned under the stairs. It would be important to know how much technology is actually involved, as the room upstairs is not very large either.

There are already great ideas in there – even though it is basically a completely newly planned layout.

Regarding the technical room: What kind of space should one calculate for if one:
- installs a Proxon FLWP
- has a hot water tank
- has a solar battery storage
- wants to operate a washing machine and dryer
- and then has all the electronics and pipe clutter hanging on the walls for central network and home automation, solar, etc.

Many thanks and best regards,
Björn

Yes, these are questions best explored by the builder. Google is your friend.

So, we have just under 8m² for a geothermal heating system with an integrated 75L hot water tank, water connection, electrical cabinet, galactic network cabinet for my darling to play with, and a shelf that stores a lot of tools. The room is therefore full. There would be no space left for a washing machine – ours is located separately upstairs, where the laundry accumulates.

It’s best to draw it up and arrange it in the rooms – you also need access! Gather measurements from the internet – let’s go!

Don’t forget the maintenance clearances. With high voltage, it must be able to throw the electrician a step back without him crashing into a wall. Just as an example that gynecological access possibilities are not sufficient.

Oh really? A big flight parabola when being thrown back is healthier for the electrician than sliding down the wall like jam? Interesting!
