Hello,
I am totally confused again because everyone tells me something different regarding flooring.
The first carpenter: "Laying floating on underfloor heating is no problem at all. Gluing is also possible, of course better. I wouldn’t recommend strip parquet, you never get it out again, you can only sand it. Prefinished parquet can still be removed even when glued. I recommend gluing prefinished parquet."
The second: "Absolutely do not lay floating on underfloor heating. But gluing click parquet makes no sense at all, you pay way too much just for the click system. Either click and floating or, for example, strip parquet and glued."
The third: "(Strip) parquet is from the 80s. I wouldn’t generally install a natural floor nowadays, no cork, no parquet, nowadays only vinyl. Because of discoloration, water sensitivity, durability."
The next: "You don’t install laminate anymore these days, I haven’t installed any for 3 years."
And previously the flooring retailer: "Laminate is the best-selling floor in Germany. Four times more than vinyl."
What I’m more concerned about now:
- Can I go to the hardware store, buy prefinished click parquet, for example from Haro or Tilo, and have it glued?
- Or better floating?
- Or better strip parquet?
- What about click cork panels, does the same apply as with prefinished parquet?
- Are click parquet and prefinished parquet even the same?
Vinyl and laminate are less of an interest.
