We are calculating with total costs of max. 475k€. We do not want to exceed that, otherwise the rate would increase even more. The plot is fully developed by the city, meaning supply lines are at the property boundary. We are calculating with 18 meters for further development (that means the house is in the rear corner and the utility room faces away from the street). Costs have already been requested from the utility companies (gas + water + electricity + communication = 7,100€), plus wastewater + possibly a cistern or similar. Planned another 8,500€. The plot is flat and the soil surveys show no need for special work. So here as well, according to the architect, we should manage with the planned budget of 9,000€. Our main concern throughout the entire calculation is mainly the children. Unfortunately, you hardly get any statements on what amount should be assumed per child. Everything from 200€ to 1,000€ is represented. But since families with an income of 3,000€ can afford 2 children (of course without a single-family house), 1,000€ is probably a bit too much or at most to be assumed during the daycare phase. But as you can tell - I find this extremely difficult.

Well, you also had the expensive rent, but I can understand the fear. You can protect yourself against disability, death, etc. Job loss and loss of income are incalculable and uninsurable risks. Of course, you then have to limit yourself to a burden of 1500. Would the 1500 installment be enough for your plan?

The rate would be sufficient. It also corresponds to the financing offers from the banks. We are covered. With [Haus] a risk life insurance would also be added, but that isn’t expensive either. However, you cannot insure yourself against costs for children ;)

I have listed some example costs that arise for our children, but of course, this is very individual.

[*]We pay 284 for kindergarten + 45 EUR for food monthly. This will be a bit less when he is in school (but full-day school also costs about 150 + 45 EUR) here with us.
[*]Otherwise, we have roughly the same costs as

Thank you for your answers, that helps a lot :) Then I'm not doing so badly with my 400€ without [KITA].
