Well, the appointment would only be in March 2017 due to many orders of the construction company. They would just like a confirmation or cancellation by Wednesday.

Then the construction company is just out of luck. Putting pressure on is absolutely not acceptable....

I agree, putting pressure on is really bad. Apart from that, it is currently apparently the case with most home construction companies ([Holzständerbauweise] etc.) that there are long waiting times, which of course eat up part of the advantage again.

But 1 year until the start of construction is really tough... And somehow doesn't fit the urgently demanded date. I would really think that through carefully. It's not like that at all companies. For us, the contract was signed in January, and this Thursday (weather permitting) the foundation slab will be poured. Of course, we started our personal planning much earlier (September 15).

I must also add that we signed a separate planning contract in October, after which the architect then began the preliminary design phase. The detailed execution planning took place after the signing of the contract for work.

We also dealt with the topic of prefabricated houses last year and checked out all the providers. They also tried to pressure us into a quick signature, which fortunately did not work. After many comparisons, it was easy to see why we were put under time pressure.

Do yourselves a favor and take your time. You will probably never make such an expensive purchase again.

Our planning started in May 2015, we took a lot of time and thought everything through carefully. In the end, we switched from a prefabricated house to a solid house and from a company to an architect. So completely different from what we initially wanted. Now, this Thursday our base slab will be poured.

Wishing you good luck and perseverance!
