Exactly, and that's why no one goes

Hello,
I saw you this morning when I read your opening thread. Ideas are rushing through your head, new territory wants to be conquered, people want to be made happy. Along the way, a small profit, some or lots of praise, commitment, personal challenge and development, and so on ... and last but not least, helping potential builders.

I once held a seminar in a small group on real estate photography for agents. Well, for a reasonable flat fee they got a lot from me... unfortunately, I invested days in the concept, had only a whiteboard — I didn’t yet know PowerPoint and projector.
Instead, I spread photos in A4 plastic covers on a table, the participants could actively work with the photos...
Then came the breakthrough: a request from Immonet, new concept, presentation folder, PPP ... I think I wanted to charge 149€ per participant -> too expensive. Years later a request from a savings bank – with 99€ for training their internal agents: still too expensive.

In short: I don’t believe anyone will invest money for something they can read about in books or on the internet. Period.
Hardly anyone will take more than a few hours.
Anyone who claims otherwise here should really listen to themselves or else belongs to the rare kind that secures themselves with all means with adequate preparation and a thirst for knowledge... similar to a controller who can get unpleasant if you know what I mean ...
Possibly 3 hours at a suitable price might work – but what you would have to charge for space, guest speakers and logistics (I’ll leave aside your invested preparation time, since I think you can teach off the cuff), hardly anyone is willing to pay. Teaching knowledge and making a living from it is very difficult.

I agree.

You are already spending many weekends of your time at fairs, besides your daily work in the office you are here in our forum, in the evenings with client meetings. Your house project... The moderated forum will always remain for you! Including work with EVs...

You wanted to write a book and don’t get around to it..., I remind you!

No offense – do what you can’t leave off, but I think the work you put in won’t be appreciated.

Well-meaning words from
Yvonne

I also think it will be difficult to demand larger amounts of money there. The only thing that could become profitable in the long run would be to hold this seminar regularly and thereby distribute the costs/time for seminar preparation over many sessions. The purpose would then be less the seminar itself, but rather pure order generation. I don't know your order situation, the question is, do you need additional order volume? Maybe another thought, how about offering Step 1 for your new customers on a small scale either for free or very cheaply at first and using it as a "unique selling point" for yourself and advertising it accordingly. Advantage: You don't have to explain everything five times to five new customers, but save time, and future builders can be brought together and possibly exchange ideas. Once you have perfected your scripts/presentations enough, you could try Step 2 with little effort by holding your own seminar for prospective builders.

Hello,

Then I can better go to Aunt Tube and upload video material; then it will pay off - sooner or later - through the number of clicks.

Rhenish regards

Hello Yvonne,

This really can't be true

The scripts are already in the box .... how was it again? "Live your dreams ...." - at the moment I am farther from that than ever before. Maybe when my rocking chair is assembled

Because of such answers, I reflect on myself here. Even though I am a hopeless optimist, that does not mean I am deaf to experiences

Hello,

It can never hurt

For many months now, ideas/thoughts have been swirling around in my head about how to connect one thing with another. Especially last year, I encountered so many - shockingly - naive people again, that it does not surprise me that the order books of the well-known low-cost providers are overflowing. Also, the practice of "orders before property search" has increased again; there is really enough to read about it online.

So I am always arguing with myself - there is clearly a lack of clarification, but "stupid" is not written on my forehead either. I have also noticed in myself that I am beginning to make some decisions dependent on the verdict in a few days.

We will run an office with public access for the first time at the new location; this point is therefore already on our to-do list. Whether it will be effective, of course, I don't know yet; it's completely uncharted territory for us. The only certain thing is that we will _not_ charge anything for it; that belongs to customer service.

Best regards from the Rhineland

Hello f-pNo,

Try explaining that to the judge along with both lay judges; at least the plaintiff’s side would, in my opinion, accuse you of collusion

I don’t waste a thought on that; I know from experience that I can get people excited about a topic. Otherwise, I should have looked for another job; building a house always means keeping emotions in mind

Rhenish greetings
