But you must not ignore that the naivety of the builders is also somehow their own fault. To compensate for my lack of knowledge as a builder, I have to look for sources of information, whether it be a forum like ours, books, or seminars. And I do not believe that from the small percentage who take care of it proactively, nearly anyone remains who pays for a seminar. Those who know that they know nothing take the easy way through a model home park and the general contractor/contractor. But that is just my opinion, and feel free to surprise me. How many members joined the paid version of the moderated forum back then? Can't you gain some insight from that?

Just googled... Seminar would have cost 25 €:

House Construction - New Build (cancelled)
Seminar for Homeowners - what to consider when building, buying, and renovating residential properties
Contents of the evening are:
Land - questions before purchasing land
Planning – thoughts about needs, size, shape, colors, material
Construction process – who to build with and how?
Also discussed are: local conditions of the land or property, land register entry, building regulations, laws, design, construction, technology, materials, quality, building application, building permit, developer, prefabricated house providers, general contractors, architect, services, costs (construction costs and incidental costs), contracts, construction description, insurances

the cancelled does not refer to new build but that the course was cancelled
Other courses on other websites are no longer displayed, meaning: they no longer exist.... doesn’t Viebrockhaus also have such courses???

According to Google, architect chambers also offer builder seminars: all free of charge

*Naivety* as I understand it? I totally agree with that!

That's why I'm currently annoyed with the user who wants to piss off an architect because he didn’t explicitly describe the function of a TH window. I’ve been tempted all along to ask if he will one day also take his health insurance company to court because they didn’t inform him in time that old age brings along a number of ailments.

Above all, I can draw a conclusion from my evaluations. The builders who have so far commissioned me to review their documents mostly didn’t really need my services. They had already shown common sense in the pre-selection, so usually only minor changes, additions, or tips were necessary.

The builders for whom, in my view, it would be absolutely necessary to bring in external experts instead buy, for example, more expensive sanitary fixtures and, overall, unnecessary risks.

In this respect, you are completely right.

Today we had an invitation from Bien-Zenker in the mailbox to a builder seminar. Free of charge. But without further explanation of what to expect.

You can also attend a seminar on financial planning at MLP ... Others go on a coffee trip.
