Where does smart home begin? I guess everyone has to determine that for themselves. If, for example, you previously had roller shutters with a band winder and now have electric ones that go up and down with a timer, that might already be pretty smart :-). For me, in this example, smart would be if the roller shutters automatically go up, down, or only slightly shade based on time, the position of the sun, weather, presence (preferably by room), etc., without any input from me.
For your case, I would also recommend the Shelly 2.5 as the first step, and later, if you get hooked and want to automate more things, iobroker or something similar comes into play. The advantage of iobroker, HomeAssistant, etc. is that you are not tied to manufacturers for the actuators and you can continuously expand the system step by step if you want to. And you can test everything with very low costs.
