How big are your feet? How does it feel for you to walk up the stairs? Those would be much more critical questions for me than consulting the opinion of the general public.
We once paid attention to this in various apartment buildings. I wear size 42 shoes and my wife wears 39. In the current rental apartment we have 29cm. At the neighbor's it's 27. The 27 are also OK, even though you have the feeling here that you are always walking on tiptoe. But both are good. We would now depend on the design of the tiles for that. We have consulted with the tiler and various tile dealers.
[*If we take normal tiles without overhang, one would either have to: [LIST=1] [*]Insert a stainless steel strip (not pretty) or [*]Cut the tile (tread + riser) laboriously at a 45° angle or [*]Get special tread tiles (not available from every tile)
[*]Use terrace slabs (30x120x2 cm) and lay them with overhang (cheap, but possibly the edges are not nice, as the edges are colored through but do not have the same appearance as the top side. (With 47 steps at €30 each = €1410) [*]There are terrace slabs where the front side can be polished or edged accordingly when ordered. However, per step = €135. That would be €6345 for 47 steps
