The iota was the letter with the smallest character in the Latin alphabet and therefore symbolically (cf. Matthew 5:18) stands for something very, very, very small (insignificant). In other words: have a best possible imitation of a wooden door made for you and you will pay, at most, about ten units less than if you had taken wood.
The profiling suite frame - strip - outer panel - inner panel alone is very complex in this model; even the detail "muntins" in the upper panel is not trivial. You save almost nothing with alternatives there.
Your "problem" is not a slight preference for wood, or false frugality, but your uncertainty about the durability of the surface. Window makers will not help you with that (unless they have - like my suggestion Pax - all material alternatives in their program and don’t have to recommend one because they don’t sell the other themselves), but you can only clarify that with painters and varnishers.
