Hello everyone,

occasionally in the forum it is advised to look at the catalog models from prefabricated house manufacturers as a first inspiration for floor plans. At this point, I already fail because despite intensive research I cannot find anything.

Specifically, I am looking for example floor plans for the following rough framework data:

    [*]Building plot 6x15.5m
    [*]One full floor
[*]Gable roof 45°, ridge in longitudinal direction
    [*]max. height 8m
[*]min. 6 rooms, of which min. 5 on the upper floor
    [*]no walk-through rooms
[*]main bathroom on the upper floor
    [*]entrance from the narrow side

Please, dear fellow forum members, don’t go to the trouble of drawing something yet. For that, I would first have to fill out the questionnaire. But I am not there yet. I want to see first examples of how to accommodate 5 rooms and a bathroom on a long, narrow, and additionally roof slope-restricted upper floor. I really can't find anything on the web. If any of you have ever come across something like that, please upload something or tell me the keywords I need to enter in Google image search to get a corresponding result.

Thanks says your
Pröter

Sorry, forgot to mention: I of course found this here:

But the house there is 7m wide and has too few rooms upstairs.

Yes, standard house types are available off the shelf for the broad target group that has a simpler plot. But they do exist if you google "narrow houses" or orient yourself on semi-detached or terraced houses.

However, these specifications obviously conflict with each other

I don't know what you mean by rooms, whether the bathroom is included in the 5 rooms for you.

But your building window only allows 78 sqm. That would be, minus an 8 sqm long corridor (with dormer for standing height) 70 sqm for 5 rooms/spaces plus bathroom of 10 gross sqm, 12 gross sqm (gross sqm here would be the floor area of the rooms, not the living area according to DIN).

Basically, for this building window I would advise consulting an architect. The professional learns the tricks to deal with a development plan and difficult conditions and to make some things feasible and possible through projections/recesses and dormers, as well as bay windows on the ground floor. Furthermore, they should be able to handle tolerance limits.

here in this post I have shown an example of 5.7 x 13.99 m.

However, of course a statement like 5 rooms on the upper floor is more than nonsense, you would have to know the intended use. Actually the questionnaire, because the plot is also relevant, the location, etc. It makes no sense to name floor plans without this knowledge. And the room program is ambitious.
And, I understand

to mean that the attic should have sloping ceilings? Why? The maximum height would allow for more. Then just a roof with a shallow slope.

And presumably a side entrance would offer better organization.

First of all, many thanks to everyone for the detailed and quick replies!

I have done that. None of the ones I found have more than 4 rooms on the upper floor.
No, not the bathroom. I understand rooms as living/bedrooms – as they are counted classically. Specifically, we need upstairs: 2x children's rooms, 2x home offices, 1x bedroom
If I owned the plot (or was at least in final negotiations), I would do that as well. At the moment, I don’t even know if it makes sense to pursue it further because of the problems (which are visible here in this thread, too).
I spoke with the building authority. According to their verbal statement, no dormers are allowed since even a single dormer would exceed the 2/3 rule for the full floor. Also, the development plan is applied strictly, and none of the neighbors have dormers, more than one full floor, or bay windows.
2x children's rooms, 2x home offices, 1x bedroom
I understand the rules here to mean that if you want full floor plan advice with questionnaire etc., you also have to come with your own design – not have one drawn for you. We don’t have one yet. I just wanted to see any random example of how to fit 5 rooms upstairs under the circumstances "long, narrow, sloping ceiling." If it’s not possible at all, then I don’t need to pursue this plot further.
Well, a family of four with parents working from home is not that rare. But maybe on this building envelope it is.
The development plan stipulates 45° roof pitch, 1 full floor, and a maximum knee wall height of 1.8m. That practically fixes the volume for maximum living space.

Search for shotgun house floor plans. They are narrow and long, but the 5 rooms upstairs could be difficult to implement.
