Well. Either the Ikea guy didn’t read his employment contract properly or he was going to change his job anyway ;) As I have already written elsewhere, it is simply IKEA’s business policy (and this is by no means a SECRET) to constantly change the product range. In the end, everything ALWAYS gets discontinued at SOME POINT. Quite simple. When something gets discontinued at IKEA, you can simply keep restocking until the inventory is exhausted, after that the fish is just eaten. The purpose of a product range change is precisely to create new capacities for other products. It makes little sense to clog yourself up with "old nonsense."

I see that. Do you happen to have any idea if there has ever been such a change in the kitchens?

You don't just buy a fitted kitchen like that. Some people who are short of money will only buy part of it to expand the kitchen later. It is very annoying if the carcasses then have different dimensions. It's similar when you move and need new elements as a result. What else besides the dimensions of the carcasses should be changed to justify a new name? I really can't think of anything. So far, it often happens that when you hear about the range change, some parts are already no longer available. This year, for example, with parts from Besta.

Several times already.

I understand that well, and even I as an employee have been affected by it several times.
Some changes from Sweden are not necessarily announced ages in advance.
If you want to be on the safe side, you need to find a supplier with a repurchase guarantee, but those are really expensive.
