Well. Either the Ikea guy didn’t read his employment contract properly or he was going to change his job anyway ;) As I have already written elsewhere, it is simply IKEA’s business policy (and this is by no means a SECRET) to constantly change the product range. In the end, everything ALWAYS gets discontinued at SOME POINT. Quite simple. When something gets discontinued at IKEA, you can simply keep restocking until the inventory is exhausted, after that the fish is just eaten. The purpose of a product range change is precisely to create new capacities for other products. It makes little sense to clog yourself up with "old nonsense."
