Hello everyone,
we have a bathroom on the upper floor with approximately 8 m² of floor space. Actually, we wanted to install two roof windows with the dimensions 78*114 (W*H), which was agreed upon with both the planner and the carpenter. However, the roofer now says that due to the battens, the 114 dimensions and also the 98 dimensions don’t work, but only 55 * 78 cm (don’t ask me what went wrong there – I assume the detailed planning could have been a bit more thorough -.-). Well, now it is like that. We are worried that it will be too dark. Wider windows – like 140 * 78 or something similar – apparently don’t exist. Alternatively, we were recommended a daylight spot... we are not so convinced of that, since there is a pipe construction on the attic and that would certainly involve an additional cost ^^
I find it hard to imagine the size – are 2 smaller windows (55*78) also enough to pleasantly illuminate the bathroom with daylight (45° roof pitch)? Do you know any other solutions – e.g. manufacturers who offer windows in different formats? The roofer apparently installs either Lux or Oto.
Thanks for your input Best regards
