Don't say such things? I have super affordable Polish windows without stops.
And I know all the roller shutters from friends and none of them have stops.
These are usually only for manual operation via the good old rope.

That is unusual. I have bought shutters for my own projects in the last 18 months in both Poland and Germany (3 orders). All three companies only deliver without stoppers on request. In the end, it is a safety feature for the shutter, especially when you only have mechanical motors.

The following information from an online roller shutter shop: "With the roller shutter stopper (also called impact buffer), you prevent belt-operated roller shutter slats from being completely pulled into the roller shutter box. This avoids problems when lowering the roller shutter again. The roller shutter slats could get jammed or stuck in the roller shutter box. Therefore, we recommend its use for EVERY belt-operated roller shutter. For motor-operated roller shutters, on the other hand, the stop points are programmed – roller shutter stoppers are therefore not necessarily required in this case."

But if there are shops that have the stopper as standard, then that is probably the case. Very strange.

Request a two-part angled end rail. We also installed these on our Somfy Oximo motors. With electronic motors, you can't do without the stoppers or the rail. Because they are two-part, you can simply clip them out, for example, to replace the roller shutter curtain or if something is defective on the motor and the curtain needs to be unwound manually. The rail is hardly noticeable.

I also like this solution with the rail. It is really not as conspicuous as the other stoppers.

I actually thought a "stopper rail" was standard nowadays. We have them too and I never really thought about it :D I really need to keep an eye out whether there are still those classic two stoppers anywhere on the houses in the area. I would have never noticed.
