Even if a crank was installed? What speaks against radio? Presumably the power, right?

I don't really like electrically operated roller shutters. Especially for environmental reasons. I think it's silly to electrify roller shutters in a simple single-family house because manual operation is faster and does not consume rare earths and other raw materials. And I imagine that it lasts longer and is easier to repair. But I don't know that for sure, I'm just imagining it that way.

The installer didn't suggest a crank to me. I'll ask again.

The airtightness with a crank is apparently better than with a strap.

The speed argument is not valid because I don’t have to wait, I just press one button and move on or one button and everything in the house closes.

I partially understand your argument, but anyone building a single-family house already has a huge raw material consumption. If it’s for the conscience, just plant something to compensate.

exactly. That’s why unnecessary electric things are not so appealing to me. And another reason that no one ever understands: if I do more myself (e.g. get up and close the shutters), it gives me more satisfaction at the end of the day. Not because of closing the shutters itself but because of the simplicity of the activity. I believe my mind doesn’t want everything to be fast and automated. When I do something myself, I feel more like I’m participating in my own life. Sorry, I can’t explain it better and you can just classify it as a quirky idea. I know, but it still applies to me. Kind of like shutters instead of mindfulness. :D

For me, the tape guide is done within 8 cm from the bottom edge of the roller shutter box, which in my estimate is even less than in your photo. Do you have a sectional drawing showing where the roller shutter box is located at all?

At the moment, there is no roller shutter box at all. The roller shutters are simply mounted on the facade above the windows on the outside. I think this is called [Vorsatzrollläden].
