Road closure for crane parking in a dead-end street?

As you already write yourself, in a dead end the escape route probably has to remain clear with a width of 3m. A partial closure on one side should be no problem.

The costs probably depend on the respective municipality.

In my neighborhood, a house was built last year. The street was completely closed several times for days because of the concrete pump and the mobile crane to erect the house. But that is not a dead end. Therefore, a full closure was no problem.

That is certainly a usable strategy in some situations, but maybe really not if there are no accessible other rescue routes. Just my two cents, but for us that’s not an option.

Yes. I understand. But I am even "from the profession" on both sides in this regard. A mobile crane can be dismantled in max. 10 minutes. In case of a kitchen or room fire, that could be problematic. In all other events, from heart attack, stroke, to attic fire or slipped disc, it does not noticeably negatively affect a situation. Now the chance of a room or kitchen fire during the day is very limited (in the entire Stuttgart city area there were only 30 such operations in 2019). Scaled down to an average-sized municipality... Anywho. Basically, you are right. But in most cases it does not depend on that (technically - not legally!!). My bold claim is based on the assumption that the dead end is no longer than about 300 m.

Yes, that makes sense; in rescue operations, paramedics could actually run ahead or something if necessary? But I still don’t think that would be an option here. But if you’re an expert, or anyone else here: Would it be possible to position the crane on the blue circle and then lift the house over to the red area? Or is that too far and then too heavy?

Giving ideas and tips Some, incredible!

The first ASP regarding the duration/length of the required space is the site manager, then it is applied for with the municipality/city in good time!

: the crane cannot be 25 m away from the "house."
In addition, it must be noted that besides the crane location, the articulated lorry with the prefabricated parts must also be standing in the immediate vicinity.

Did you have to pay for the road closure and if so, approximately how much did it cost?
