That's correct, Mr. SirSydom, however, fees or the deduction of the circulating yield apply in all contract variants, as is the case with [Volksbank Gronau]. You always have to find a compromise between interest, possibility, project, term, and future.

I am not a banker or financial clerk, but if it is only about 1 year of funding, I would rather do without the funding and prefer to make the most out of next year. In my opinion, this is more sustainable than committing to a product now that might not fit as well into financing next year.

Of course, fees always apply, and anyone who informs themselves fairly independently knows that almost the entire Riester subsidy is eaten up by the expensive products.

I mainly wanted to make one point:
If you haven't started the BV yet, there is a high chance that many boundary conditions will still change.

If you take out a building savings contract over 100k, then 1,000€ is already gone.
With a bank savings plan, if after 3 years you decide against Riester, you only have a few € in lost interest and perhaps 50€ for the premium-damaging cancellation.

Therefore, my recommendation would be to only take out a building savings contract if you are 99% sure you want to build soon.

There are Riester products that do not incur any fees.

It is probably clear that there should be a margin for the provider somewhere.

The return after fees should be the decisive monetary component.

There are even bank Riester contracts without costs, which can be converted at any time free of charge into then suitable [Bausparriester] products. Then the initiation fee only applies to the then suitable part. At least you do not have to pay an amount x in advance on speculation.
