we have the Grohe Rainshower System SmartControl 360 Duo showers and shower systems Shower system (with thermostat battery for wall mounting) chrome, 26250000

and that's pretty cool. it was hanging in the bathroom exhibition for a mocking 2500€, but our GWS was nice enough to install the one from Amazon if he can keep the one planned by the builder. deal, I would say.

alternatively, there are some at the hardware store around the corner for 80€, the original faucet remains, and you connect it with a hose. we had that in the rental apartment, it made showering better for 5 years. hand shower was also included

e.g. AuraLum stainless steel shower system with 5 functions handheld shower, adjustable shower with 10-inch rain shower, shower set shower column shower rail height 880 to 1260mm, shower set without faucet for the bathroom (all Amazon)

AuraLum, Bonade... ours is now called Woohse and costs under 80€. (We only had the AuraLum with the rod 92 to 135 in mind )
It has a telescopic flow so that the existing drilled holes can be used.
They always seem to be the same or similar models, sometimes square or round.

Yesterday we decided, after looking through the internet for rain showers and seeing them on Amazon, that we can save ourselves the time at the showrooms etc. considering the price for now.
Reviews on Amazon are around 4.6 out of 5 stars, the others as well.
If the shower head is too small for us, we’ll upgrade it, including the handheld shower head.
The photo is from Amazon.

We have a similar one from Amazon in the granny flat! I believe I bought it for 70 euros, and compared to Grohe or Schulte, there is a world of difference; the plug connection of the rod is made of plastic, the handheld is made of plastic, and the screw connection on the hose and on the showerhead is also plastic.

But the price is top for that.

The connections are made of brass, only the handheld showerhead is made of plastic, that's also true for my Grohe piece. Otherwise, it would be too heavy.

We had the alternative of spending over 300 and drilling new holes. But honestly? I don't live in my shower, we don't even touch it, at least not the rod or the upper showerhead... if it's bad, we can just take the thing down again.

Our faucet is definitely made of brass or metal, I didn't have a magnet at hand. Grohe also probably has quality differences Jenbach price of the showerhead.

These are all things that can be retrofitted. Even your expensive rain showers might not have a showerhead like the ones offered nowadays. Or it is too small, or, or, or. That’s now the situation with our shower, which at the time was not yet rain-shower compliant. I had an experience in a hotel back then, after which I didn’t think much of that part at all and accordingly didn’t install it. And that only because it was a defective system and I assumed it was supposed to be that way.

Since I just looked again at our sanitary invoice to see what was installed, the expensive 470€ drainage channel caught my eye again. Since it doesn’t bring us any added value except visual pleasure, a compensating item will now be installed there.

Yesterday, my husband and I watched a 45-minute YT video of a man installing a comparable part. After that, we ordered.

I grant you to now look for the flaw or question the value of your sanitary shower compared to a cheap Amazon shower. I would do the same. After a few years, however, you also see your house somewhat differently, just as you shift your priorities differently in your own aging.

I will definitely report here!
