I don't really think much of Somfy either. With them, I get the impression that their system has stood still over time. There are more innovative manufacturers out there who can do more than just open and close shutters... Take a look at Loxone to see if that's something for you. Wireless is always a solution if there's no other way.

Completely normal motors and actuators of your choice. But no proprietary motors that only work via a specific radio system whose control unit is an absolute island system. Ideally, it’s a central actuation, but there are also good options in the decentralized area. Opus, Shelly, or something like that…

But in general, this applies:

… or if you forgot something.

Completely normal motors means wired, right? What is a proprietary motor? And what is central and decentralized? Where do the Eltako 64 things I mentioned belong?

I don’t think I can choose the manufacturer freely now if I decide on blinds from Roma…

Yes, normally it is wired. Proprietary means that, for example, Somfy motors cannot simply be connected to a blind actuator without detours, but you have to stay within the Somfy marketing universe. Central means that you run all the motor cables into the electrical distribution and the actuators are located there. Decentral is similar to classic wiring, i.e. the power supply of the motor runs from the switch to the motor. Instead of the switch, you could use decentralized actuators. All of this must be clarified before the electrical installation.

Which motors you can use will be told to you by your roller shutter installer. Just use something "dumb" without "smart," then you are flexible.

Okay, so I can't go wrong if I say I just want the wired solution, right? Even if the motor then comes from Somfy?

And can you maybe tell me something about this?

Is that correct? Can I then connect, for example, this Eltako 64 to that wired motor? Do you know these Eltakos?
