Hello everyone,
we were finally able to start today in our half-timbered house from 1890. First, we removed the old wooden slats from the walls and uncovered the following.

Now we are asking ourselves how best to reclad this cost-effectively? Ideally, we would like to clad the walls with drywall, but I heard that you shouldn’t do this with a half-timbered house (risk of mold).
From the outside, the house is not exposed but covered with fiber cement panels, so the half-timbering is not directly exposed to rainwater.

It would be nice if you had some tips for us.
Best regards,
Dirk
