Hello forum,
we have a possible problem with our house construction company. In addition to our other issue with the windows. It is the same manufacturer of the windows and doors. The scan unit is supplied.
We ordered a new door with a fingerprint scan module in our new building. Already on the day the door was installed, I noticed that there were scratches all around the scanner. Some light, some with deep grooves in the plastic. There were also scratches on the sensor.

You can only see it really well when you zoom in on the picture. I had trouble capturing it well with the camera.
I wrote to the site manager and the responsible employee for new buildings in the company that supplies the doors and complained about it. The employee told me that it would be repaired and that afterwards nothing would be visible, that they have their methods for that. They also would replace the scan unit.
Today, an employee came who was supposed to repair the scratches. He did so; he tried for an hour with a wax but said himself that he could not do better and could not do anything more. I think it actually got worse.

In addition, the stainless steel cover is sitting completely wrong and badly fitted. The executing employee told me that it can't be done differently. Strangely, it was okay with the old scan module that had the scratches on it. He also said that the door always gets scratched when you push the stainless steel cover on. I contacted the manufacturer of the scan unit about this – but am still waiting for feedback. However, I consider that very unlikely.
What do you think about the defects? What can I do now? I have complained again about the repair. What if they say that there is no other possibility and I have to accept it as it is? We currently don’t have money for a lawyer if it comes to the worst. It can’t be right that such things happen with a new door.
Thanks for all helpful answers.
